To my knowledge “Pro Wrestling” is entertainment. It is staged! Are you asking who looks the biggest? Who looks like the toughest ballroom brawler? Or whos shoes are shinnier?

Just because pro wrestling is fake and the results are scripted doesn’t mean that it doesn’t require a great deal of skill and talent. Pro wrestling is a performance art. The art of pro wrestling is to make everything seem as real as possible without actually hurting yourself or your opponent. There’s no art in purposely hurting yourself or your opponent. The main goal or objective in pro wrestling is to allow the audience to suspend disbelief and lose themselves in the story and the best way to do that is make everything seem as real as possible without actually hurting anyone and the wrestlers that can do that are considered the greatest.There are variances in skill level among wrestlers just like in any other profession that requires any kind of skill.Acting and actors are also fake in the sense that they are portraying characters and using scripts but some actors are considered great and others mediocre or bad.There have been a lot of quarterbacks that have played in the NFL but only a select few possess the combination of physical and mental skills to be considered great and pro wrestling is no different in that regard.To me the talent and skill that Bret Hart had in terms of ring psychology and storytelling is no less impressive than the skill Dan Marino had to accurately throw a football. Granted it is a completely different kind of skill and football is a sport while pro wrestilng is a form of entertainment but it is a skill nonetheless. My point is that it is disrespectful and inaccurate to suggest that pro wrestling(when done right and well) doesn’t require skill and talent.
