Galactic Wrestling
Looking for a sci-fi/fantasy paperback series from late 80s/early 90s dealing with galactic carnival backstage?
I remember reading a short pulpy sci-fi series in my youth when I was working as a volunteer for the local public library.
The main story arc was a traveling carnival from Earth, bringing the flim-flam showmanship game across the galaxy and adapting it to alien cultures.
Some plotlines involved a quick-draw cowboy, making a stripshow appealing to totally alien mindsets, and finding stupid dollar toys to give away at the gaming booths appropriate to the local planet.
Anybody remember this series of books? It taught me a lot about the carnival mindset, and I’d like to reference it to help in writing a GURPS RPG worldbook about Professional Wrestling.
