what does a trainer do for a high school team?

My friend and i got asked by a coach to be a trainer for like the football or wrestling team. we are tenth graders and we aren’t quite sure what the job of the trainer would actually do besides get water.

tape people up, give them ice bags, sometimes (sometimes) help with drills (by holding something, or with a clock, water (big one), help the team, cheer on players. that’s the big ones, there r others depending on the sport and coach
